Motorola lowers Android phone prices in India

Motorola India issued a press release recently, announcing reduction in prices of its latest product offerings- Motorola Milestone XT720 and Motorola Backflip. The announcement was made just after their launch in the Indian market. Motorola took this decision to compete with its rivals in the smartphone segment, thereby facilitating it to capture a significant market share. Milestone XT720 is the first Android 2.1 smartphone, which combines both Xenon flash and 8 megapixel camera for superior imaging. The multimedia experience achieves greater heights with HD video record and output to HDTV. It is just 10.9mm thin and is among the thinnest smartphones available. Earlier, Milestone XT720 was priced at about Rs. 34,490, which is now reduced to Rs. 27,490, but the consumer can buy the phone even at a much cheaper price with a little bargaining.                   Motorola BACKFLIP comes in a smart, flexible and unique reverse hinge design. By placing the BACKTRACK™navigation pad behind the high resolution screen, the user has access to a roomier keypad with unobstructed tapping and searching. The user can reverse flip the phone in tabletop mode to enjoy video or music hands free, display photos in digital frame as well as set alarm. Similarly, Motorola Backflip, which was priced at about Rs. 22,990 is now available at Rs. 19,490. On the accessories front too, there are some recent updates. XT720 comes with a HDMI cable for providing output to HDTV and an in-box 8GB memory card while Backflip includes a 2GB memory card.
