Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer HTC Corp is planning to bring its Android based handset for the Indian users very shortly. A source close to the company said HTC might launch it by June end. Yesterday the company launched its Touch Diamond2 for Indian market and its spokesperson at the launch event also hinted at bringing the Android phone to India. However, he specifically he refused of its planned arrival. HTC is the first company to develop and design a mobile phone based on Google's Android platform and the Taiwanese company is also the founding member of Open Handset Alliance (a consortium of software, hardware and telecom players devoted to developing the platform). However, it is not yet ascertained whether HTC would bring the first version G-1 or the second version G-2 Android phone to India.
