With Google's App Inventor, you don't need to be a programmer to make an Android app for smartphone devices. Google's new tool helps you create an Android app without without the formal knowledge of coding or technology jargons. The App Inventor by Google is a new desktop application to help you make apps for the Android devices in no time. You can build simple games, build apps that inform and educate or you can create a quiz app to help you and your classmates study for a test. With Android's text-to-speech capabilities, you can even have the phone ask the questions aloud.The best part is that you do not need to be a developer to use App Inventor. App Inventor requires NO programming skills. This is because instead of writing code, you visually design the way the app looks and use blocks to specify the app's behavior. The GoogleLabs says that the App Inventor team has created blocks for just about everything you can do with an Android phone, as well as blocks for doing "programming-like" stuff-- blocks to store information, blocks for repeating actions, and blocks to perform actions under certain conditions.
