UK's Virgin Mobile which has a strategic tie-up with Tata Teleservices today launched an entry level ultra slim mobile phone in India.

New Delhi, Dec 18-Richard Branson promoted Virgin Mobile which entered Indian telecom market in 2007 through a partnership with the Tata Group owned telecom service provider, Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL) today launched another entry level multimedia phone in India. The model christened as vDesire is distinctively slim, measuring just 11.5 mm, this stylish, chrome finished mobile device is endowed with 1000 SMS storage capacity and supports a large internal phonebook with 500 X 5 entries. The phone comes with an attractive 65K color screen, FM Radio, Stereo headset, Speaker phone, Prepaid connection and Lifetime Validity. Priced at Rs.1,699 the handset allows users one touch access to Vbytes, Virgin Mobile’s data portal, from where they can download wallpapers, ring tones and games at a daily access charge of just Rs. 5/- .
