Olive Telecom has introduced the first 3.5G tablet in India, OlivePad V-T100. OlivePad is powered by the Google Android 2.1 operating system and supports Bluetooth, 3.5G HSUPA and Wi-fi. The multi functional device comes with a front-facing camera and an in-built 3 megapixel camera. With a 7 inch TFT touchscreen, the device follows the Qualcomm MSM 7227 platform. Unveiling the new tablet, David Hind, CEO, Olive Telecom, Americas said, "We are excited to launch the much awaited OlivePad in India. This latest creation from Olive will bring revolution in the field of technology with its magical features & stylish looks. Our global consumers are going to love this device because of the experience that it provides."This device can be used as a touch notebook for applications such as social networking, instant messaging, multimedia and browsing. The new tablet allows video and voice calling, besides featuring a mini USB port and flash support. In addition, the user can access the device as a gaming console, mobile TV, e-book reader, and GPS for maps and turn-by turn navigation.With a 3240mAh battery, the standby time is more than 13 hours and the talktime is over 7 hours. Expandable memory of up to 32GB is offered to the users as well. The OlivePad is expected to foray into the Indian market at a price of Rs. 24,990 by August this year.
