Indian telecom service providers added 10.35 million wireless users in November, compared with 10.42 million in October, sectoral regulator TRAI said. With this addition country's total telecom subscriber figure reached 336.08 million at the end of November, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India said in a statement. Bharti Airtel, the country's top mobile company by users, added 2.72 million users in November, taking its base to 82.92 million subscribers while Reliance Communications Ltd., the second largest, followed, adding 1.76 million users. It had a total of 59.56 million subscribers at the end of November. Privately owned Vodafone Essar Ltd., majority owned by U.K.'s Vodafone PLC added 2.60 million users, taking its total number of subscribers to 58.76 million. State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. had a user base of 44.57 million after adding 700,937 subscribers in November. The country's fixed line user base, however, fell to 38.05 million in November from 38.22 million in October, TRAI said. The country's overall teledensity, or the number of phone users for every 100 individuals, was 32.34 per cent at the end of November, compared with 31.50 per cent at the end of October.
