Sprint announces the launch of Samsung Intercept Android smartphone in the US

Samsung Intercept from Sprint is Android-powered smartphone with a Qwerty keyboard. Samsung Intercept runs on Android 2.1 and comes with a 3 inch, 240x400 pixel screen display and a 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording ability.Samsung Intercept is powered by Qualcomm's QSC6075 CDMA chip and Samsung S3C6410 processor for EVDO Rev.0 support. The other key features of Samsung Intercept include a 1500 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, GPS and MicroSD card slot.The device offers a highly responsive optical joystick that virtually zips from item to item, thereby making menu and display navigation easy for the users. Additionally, Samsung Intercept comes preloaded with social apps and one-touch picture posting to the top social sites Sprint is currently offering Samsung Intercept on a $100 rebate for a contract period of 2 years in the US.
