
LG, AT&T launch eXpo mobile phone

LG Electronics has released the first 1GHZ smartphone in the US. AT&T is going to launch the LG eXpo device next week

LG eXpo boasts of number of high-end features and it is aimed at business pros. LG eXpo comes with a Smart Sensor that uses biometric security feature for fingerprint recognition. You don't need to remember pin codes and passwords to unlock your handset as LG eXpo is enabled with AuthenTec sensors for user identification. The other key feature of LG eXpo includes an optional pico projector. With this special feature, users can share presentations directly from their mobile phones. As per LG's Web site, the projector is an optional, add-on accessory that will be sold separately. “LG eXpo is the perfect balance of mobile innovation and design” said Ehtisham Rabbani, vice president of product strategy and marketing for LG Mobile Phones. “Enabling users to meet their professional and personal computing needs from the palm of their hands, LG eXpo makes on-the-go communication an effortless luxury.”This smartphone device is preloaded with Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro on a 1 GHz processor and it runs on the newly updated HSPA 7.2 Mbps network. It has a 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen and a slide out QWERTY keyboard. The device is further equipped with a 5 megapixel camera with flash, a microSD/SDHC memory card slot and a 1,500 mAh battery.According to AT&T, LG eXpo will be available from December 7 to enterprise customers for $199.99 after mail-in rebate.
