The HTC Incredible was recently much in the news with leaked images, leaked equipment guide and rumoured specs. The device has now finally got the official confirmation. Exclusively from Verizon Wireless, the HTC Incredible packs power of Android and usability of HTC Sense. Featuring a 'topographic' design, the HTC Droid runs Android 2.1 with a new HTC Sense experience, a seven-panel home screen with a wide selection of interactive widgets. The device comes equipped with Exchange ActiveSync for seamless integration and Friend Stream for unified Flickr, Facebook and Twitter updates. The HTC Incredible phone offers Android Market with more than 30,000 Google applications. Verizon will be adding NFL Mobile and Skype Mobile apps “shortly after the phone becomes available.”The HTC Incredible is the first Verizon Wireless phone with an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash for crisp, detailed images and runs Qualcomm’s 1GHz superfast Snapdragon processor. The smartphone displays razor-sharp 3.7 inch WVGA (480x800) AMOLED capacitive touch display and optical joystick for smooth navigation.The other key features of Droid Incredible by HTC include dedicated, touch-sensitive Home, Menu, Back and Search keys. It is loaded with proximity sensor, light sensor and digital compass. Integrated with GPS, the device is Wi-Fi enabled and offers 3.5 mm headset jack.The HTC Droid Incredible will be available for pre-order online beginning on April 19 and it will hit Verizon Wireless Communications Stores on April 29. The device will cost $199.99 (after a $100 rebate) on 24-month contracts.
