LG announces GU285, GU220 slider phones

LG Electronics has announced two new mid-end mobile phones - LG GU285 and LG GU220 - in India

LG GU285 is a 3G slider phone with compact design. The phone comes equipped with dual cameras - the first one is a 1.3 megapixel CMOS smart camera that enables images to be printed through Bluetooth and the second one is a VGA camera enabled with video telephony option for the users.The key features of LG GU285 mobile phone include Easy Memo, Scheduled SMS, Hot Key, Video Call, E-mail, Internet, MMS and MP3 Player. Equipped with a colour 5.1 cm TFT screen, the device comes with GPRS, EDGE, JAVA, Bluetooth and USB 2.0 connectivity.The phone packs Li-Ion 900mAh battery to offer up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 580 hours of standby time. LG GU285 is customized with useful apps that include LG HelpDesk, DataWallet, RockeTalk, NewsHunt and JustCricket. For mobile gaming enthusiasts, the phone comes preloaded with 'try & buy' games - Dimond Twister Demo and Ferrari GT Demo."The new phones are an extension of our unique offerings in the Buzz series that promises to give our users benefits of mega multimedia for entertainment on the move. The phone comes equipped with a large 5.6 cm display screen. The key features of LG GU220 mobile phone include VGA Camera and FM recording for users to listen and record their favourite tracks. Preloaded with EDGE, the handset offers fast connectivity, faster internet browsing as well as downloading to the users on the move. The device offers up to 10 hours of talk time to the users.The LG GU285 mobile phone is priced at Rs. 6,500 and LG GU220 will come at a price of Rs. 4,500 in India.
