13.45 million new mobile users joined in February

Total mobile subscriber base of India rose to 375.74 million at the end of February as the country added 13.45 million subscribers in that month. January had seen a record addition of 15.41 million, a Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) release said. India is the second-biggest market for wireless services, after China which has more than 600 million users, and is the fastest-growing market in the world. In February, Bharti Airtel added 2.7 million mobile users taking its total to 91.11 million while Reliance Communications, added 3.3 million in the same month to have a total of 69.64 million. Third-ranked Vodafone Essar signed up 2.6 million users to reach 65.92 million users by Februaru end.
