Nokia has officially announced its first Maemo-powered Nokia N900 smartphone in the Indian market

Dubbed as internet tablet, Nokia N900 smartphone runs the Linux Maemo open-source operating system. The new Nokia smartphone displays a wide 3.5 inch touchscreen display, QWERTY keyboard and a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and LED flash with 3X digital zoom.The high-end device is equipped with an ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz processor, 32GB internal storage with up to 45GB expandable memory and 3D graphics accelerator with OpenGL ES 2.0 support. Nokia N900 comes preloaded with Adobe Flash 9.4 support. The key features of Nokia N900 include GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G, FM transmitter and Bluetooth. The device will offer 6 hours 30 min of 2G talk time and up to 4 hours 30 min of 3G talktime to the users. Supporting multitasking feature, the N900 model comes integrated with Mozilla browser, multiple desktops, widgets and an application manager. Nokia N900 phone will be available by this month end at a high price of Rs. 30,639 in India.
