Samsung has added another sleek device to its successful Wave portfolio. The new Samsung Wave 578 is reportedly the first phone in the bada family which comes enabled with Near Field Communication (NFC) connectivity.With this new NFC technology, users can enjoy range of services on this device such as mobile payments, shopping, transport fares, tag reading and mobile coupons, all directly on their smartphone.On the first look, the Samsung Wave 578 nearly resembles the Samsung Wave II or Wave 525, but the device boasts of improved specs. It comes equipped with a 3.2 inch touchscreen with multi-touch functionality plus QuickType feature, a VGA camera on the front and a rear camera having 3.2 megapixel.The device runs on Samsung's bada OS and it will offer slew of apps from the Samsung Apps store. For connectivity, the Wave 578 model offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0.The Samsung Wave 578 is slated for a Europe-wide release in May this year.
