Apple's plan to expand the market of iphone to the masses have been doing rounds for a while. But there was no confirmation on that front, uptil now. Apple’s COO, Tim Cook, has affirmed that it “is likely to develop lower priced offerings.” According to industry analyst Toni Sacconaghi, the company has a “very clever” plan for pre-pay market. Basically Apple is aiming at having two handsets on the market – the premium iPhone 5 and the cheaper iPhone (Nano?) likely to cost under $200 ( around Rs. 10,000) With growth in the cellphone usage market in India and China, there definitely seems potential and scope for iPhone Mini to flourish in these cost-sensitive countries.
