Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo has announced plans to offer an exclusive pink version of Sony Ericsson's Xperia Arc, and UK carriers are believed to be in talks to secure colour exclusives of the device in time for its release in early March. Orange has confirmed it will offer an exclusive black version of the Xperia Arc device, which was extremely well received at MWC last week, and other suppliers are expected to follow with similar exclusives in the coming weeks. The smartphone, which features a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, 8-megapixel Exmor-R powered camera and a lustrous 4.3-inch Bravia Mobile optimised touchscreen, looks set to bring Sony Ericsson's Android range bang up to date, and with the addition of the Pro, Play and Neo versions, the Xperia range could prove to be a huge hit this summer. There's no news yet whether UK providers will be carrying the über-girly Sakura Pink Arc, but we wouldn't bet against it. Head over to 3G.co.uk for the full story.
