LG has now officially confirmed that the LG Optimus One will get the Android 2.3 update soon

We recently heard the news about Samsung Galaxy S getting the Gingerbread update. Now it's LG's turn to announce the same for their budget smartphone Optimus One.After initial confusions, LG is now evaluating the upgradability of Optimus Series phones to Android 2.3 OS. The LG Optimus One smartphone will be getting the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update in the coming days."LG will upgrade all Optimus One smartphones currently using the Froyo OS to the next version of the Android OS, Gingerbread. Details of the upgrade schedule will be announced locally in due course. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and misunderstanding that was caused regarding this issue," LG announced.Although, the Android 2.3 update for LG Optimus One is announced officially, it will take some time for the Optimus One users to finally receive this update.
