Nokia India launched the Nokia 6760 Slide in the country recently. It is the same phone that the Finnish mobile maker launched for AT&T few weeks back in the US. The model - branded the Nokia Surge in the US - has been renamed and repackaged for the Indian market with the name Nokia 6760 Slide. The 123-gm handset sports a 2.4-inch TFT screen which displays 16 million colours at 320x240 pixels. The top also sports a 5-way joypad and the usual Nokia buttons, along with three multimedia keys. The concentration on multimedia, however, is a bit perplexing as the phone still comes with a 2.5-mm headphone jack. The camera on the back is fitted with a 3.15-megapixel CMOS sensor. Although it can record QVGA video, there is no sign of an autofocus or LED flash for still images. The handset runs on Symbian S60 v3.2 and comes with an on-board memory of 128MB which can be expanded up to 8GB via a microSD card. For connectivity, the Nokia 6760 is equipped with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, microUSB port and A-GPS. The Nokia 6760 Slide does take care of its business clientele, though, as it comes with QuickOffice and a PDF reader pre-installed. The 1500mAh battery claims a talk-time of five hours and a standby time of around 20 days. The Nokia 6760 Slide is priced at Rs 14,000 and is available in three colours– red, black and white.
