The AMOLED 3D phone by Samsung that surfaced earlier has now been officially revealed. The world's first phone with 3D display, SCH-W960 comes with a 3.2-inch capacitive AMOLED touchscreen with a 3.3 inch WQVGA resolution. The best part is that the users don't need special glasses to enjoy the 3D display of the device and the 3D option can be switched on and off with a dedicated key offered with the device.As reported earlier the key features of Samsung's new 3D phone are DNSe 2.0 capability, DivX support, a 3.2 megapixel camera with Xenon flash and dual DMB (both S-DMB and T-DMB) capability. The SCH-W960 3D mobile phone comes with the functionality of converting 2D content to 3D and it will be compatible to view 3D TV channel on the go. The other features of the Samsung's AMOLED 3D phone include HSPA connectivity, Bluetooth, microSD support and the Samsung TouchWiz 2.0 custom UI.The SCH-W960 is a CDMA device and initially it is slated for release in the Korean market only. Although, there is no official announcement of the pricing and release date of this 3D device as of now, but SamsungHub reports that it is expected to be released soon via SK Telecom in Korea.
