Mozilla to release Firefox mobile browser soon

Mozilla is very soon going to release its much-anticipated Firefox mobile browser "Fennec"

Already there are key players, such as Opera, Safari and Windows Mobile, in the mobile browser domain. But Mozilla is planning to introduce something different via Fennec as compared to other mobile browsers. The key feature is that this open-source browser will synchronise easily with the desktop counterpart. As per Mozilla vice president of mobile Jay Sullivan, "At the end of the working day you can walk away from your computer and keep on going on your phone. It encrypts all of the information and sends it back through the cloud between your desktop and mobile." Sullivan further added that the browser is presently in its final stages of testing and could be available for download prior to the end of 2009. Initially, it will be available for the Nokia N900 devices. However, Mozilla will soon optimize this mobile browser platform for Android, Symbian and Widnows Mobile devices.Similar to its desktop browser feature, Fennec too will offer tabbed browsing along with other add-on functionalities.
