There were speculations doing the rounds about Samsung working on new bada OS for some upcoming Samsung device. Now ahead of Barcelona Mobile World Congress (MWC), Samsung has officially introduced the much-awaited Samsung Wave smartphone.Competing with Apple's iPhone and Google's Nexus One, Samsung has unveiled a latest stunning device. The Samsung Wave phone boasts of some impressive tech specs as well. Wrapped in aluminum body, the bada phone features a 3.3 inch organic LED (AMOLED) screen that is thinner, less reflective and energy efficient compared to other devices. The key features of S8500 Wave include a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 720p video and 2 GB of internal memory with micro SD card slot. Equipped with 1 GH processor, the bada smartphone is enabled with GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, WIFI, HSDPA and Touchwiz 3.0 UI.Preloaded with 1500mAh battery, the device offers a 3.5 mm jack, FM radio and Divx player. Samsung Wave offers an iTunes-style apps store for downloading games, mapping, eBooks and access to Samsung and lifestyle applications. Also, with a new feature, Social Hub, users can easily access list of emails, IMs and SNS services directly to their device.The pricing details of the phone has not been officially disclosed but the Samsung bada phone, Wave is expected to arrive by the month of April.
