Samsung releases Samsung Star Duos in India

Announced couple of months back, Samsung Star Duos (GT-B7722) dual SIM mobile phone has now officially arrived in India. Reportedly, this is the first dual SIM device which comes with the 3G and 2G dual-active standby support.

The new Samsung Star Duos dual SIM (GSM + CDMA) is a 3G-ready bar phone. The device comes with the options of two SIM cards, running 3G on one and GPRS/EDGE network on the other. The Samsung Star Duos smartphone comes with rich assortment of features that promises many advanced features compared to the earlier released dual SIM phones in India.

The key features of this new Star Duos device include a 3.2 inch TFT touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera with 4X digital zoom and LED flash support, QVGA video recording @ 30 fps and secondary camera for video calling. The handset introduces a 3 page extended menu with TouchWiz 2.0 UI.

The device is enabled with Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP support, up to 3.6Mbps HSDPA connectivity on one SIM slot, a micro USB port v2.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity. Preloaded with stereo FM radio with RDS, the handset comes preloaded with DNSe audio enhancing technology with FindMusic service to identify songs.

The phone features Mobile Tracker, Document Viewer, Phonebooting without SIM, Google Map, RSS Reader, Online Widget and SOS messaging. The device offers 9 regional language support, 250MB internal memory and microSD card slot supporting up to 16GB.

Powered with Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery, Samsung Star Duos B7722 offers up to 770 minutes of talk time and up to 420 hours of standby time.The Samsung Star Duos (GT-B7722) is priced at Rs. 12,300 in the Indian market, reports Samsung Hub.
