Google Translate offered machine translation, romanization of non-Roman scripts and spoken translations to the Android platform earlier. Now the platform is refreshed with several updates that include better dropdown boxes to help select the languages you want to translate from and into, an improved input box and cleaner icons and layout. But the most happening and welcome feature integrated to Google Translate for Android is the innovative new Conversation Mode feature. It's an experimental interface that’s optimized for Android phone users to communicate fluidly with a nearby person in another language as per Google Translate Blog. With Conversation Mode on your Android device, you can simply press the microphone for your language and start speaking. The app will translate your speech and read the translation out loud. Your conversation partner can then respond in their language, and you'll hear the translation spoken back to you.Although, the Google Translate supports 53 languages and voice input for 15 languages, the Conversation Mode interface is available for translating between English and Spanish languages only now. You can download the application, available for devices running Android 2.1 and above, by searching for "Google Translate" in Android Market.
