GSMA has now announced the nominees for the Global Mobile Awards 2010

The winners will be announced at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2010 this February. There are eight categories of Mobile Entertainment, Mobile Advertising and Marketing, Best Mobile Services, Best Use of Mobile for Social and Economic Development Green Mobile Award, Best Technology and Best Mobile Handset or Device for which nominees in their respective fields have been shortlisted.The nominees for the Best Mobile Handset or Device are:Research in Motion - Blackberry Bold 9700 SmartphoneSamsung Electronics - Samsung Star (S5230) (Toco Lite in the UK)HTC - HTC HeroHuawei Technologies - Huawei U8220 (T-Mobile Pulse)Samsung Electronics - Samsung I8910 HD or OMNIA HD (GT-I8910)However, Nokia N97 Mini got automatically shortlisted as this device was the winner of Asia Mobile Award. Whereas, the nominees for the Best Mobile Game category are Speedhero, The Sims 3 for iPhone and iPod, The Last City, HeroCraft and Farm Frenzy.
