Samsung has unveiled its new iPod Touch rivals with the launch of Wi-Fi enabled Samsung Galaxy S 4.0 and Galaxy S 5.0 smart players

Samsung has launched its latest cell-free device, the Galaxy S 4.0 and Galaxy S 5.0. The new smart players from Samsung are Wi-Fi only devices that offer everything that a smartphone does, apart from a cellular connection. Compared to the original Samsung Galaxy S, the new models do not offer a GSM cellular radio, but Wi-Fi and VoIP wireless connectivity. "There is a huge demand for access to applications and rich multimedia on the go. With the Samsung Galaxy S Wi-Fi 4.0, we have created a device that delivers a Samsung Galaxy S smartphone-like app experience and stunning entertainment features at a reasonable price," JK Shin, president and head of Samsung's Mobile Communications Business, said in a statement. The Samsung Galaxy S Wi-Fi 4.0 runs on Android 2.2 Froyo, sports a 4 inch WVGA Super Clear LCD display, 1GHz Hummingbird chip, a 3.2-megapixel autofocus rear-facing camera and an additional VGA front-facing camera. While the second version Galaxy S 5.0 packs a 5 inch WVGA screen, bigger 2,500mAh battery power, 1GHz CPU and a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera.The Samsung Galaxy S Wi-Fi 4.0, 5.0 are expected to hit the global market by Q2 this year.
