Acer voiced intentions to foray into the tablet segment and the latest news reports confirm that the Taiwan-based hardware giant would be launching two Android-based tablets by the end of year 2010.The company's existing product portfolio comprises of digital devices, LCD TVs, peripheral devices, monitors, PC notebooks and Desktops, e-business solutions for home, Education, Government and business users as well as servers and storage systems. The upcoming Acer's 7-inch and 10-inch tablet PCs will support Adobe Flash, integrate multimedia entertainment capabilities. These PCs would be powered by an ARM processor and run on the latest Android 2.2 Froyo.Though pricing information is not available, reportedly Acer would market the 3G-enabled products with the support of mobile telecom carriers.
