LG Electronics has announced two new Android-based smartphones 'Optimus One with Google' and 'Optimus Chic'

LG has unveiled its new range of Optimus series smartphones Optimus One and Optimus Chic equipped with latest version of Android 2.2 which is better known as 'Froyo'. The company plans to expand its smartphone portfolio with the release of ten new devices worldwide in the second half of 2010 within its Optimus brand. However, the company has initially revealed Optimus One and the Optimus Chic only.LG Optimus Chic targets fashion-conscious individuals with its sleek curves and smooth lines. Reportedly, LG's Optimus series devices will come equipped wiht HD video playback/recording and one of these devices will run on Texas Instrument's OMAP3630 processor.LG also plans to release a Windows Phone 7 mobile OS based smartphone by the end of this year. However, the pricing and full specs of the Optimus series device are not officially disclosed as yet.
