Samsung mobile showed off it Android powered mobile phone 'Galaxy' at the CommunicAsia 2009 in Singapore. The phone's announcement was first made in April this year and was then named i7500. The Galaxy is expected to arrive in India by end of July and will be tentatively priced at Rs 29,000. The phone run by Google's Android OS features 3.2 inch AMOLED (Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode) screen, GPS, a 5-megapixel camera capable of recording video, and a scratch-resistant touchscreen that's made of tempered glass. Like other Android handsets, the Galaxy includes access to the Android Market and a range of Google's services, including Gmail, Google Maps and YouTube. The Galaxy doesn't have a trackball like that of HTC's Android phones, instead it features 5 distinct physical buttons and a navi pad. The lack of a physical QWERTY keypad makes it slimmer than the HTC phones and iPhone.
