The "Green" credentials for this eco-friendly device boast of a composition without any hazardous materials. The company claims that this device is made from 87 percent of recyclable materials and 19 percent of recycled plastic. LG Remarq introduces a low-energy charger that comes pre-installed with an app to measure your carbon footprint. "Our research shows that consumers are passionate about making eco-friendly choices when purchasing their mobile phones. We’re continually finding new ways to weave recyclable alternatives throughout our product line-up, continuing to show our commitment to change", said Ehtisham Rabbani, corporate vice president, LG Mobile Phones.The key features of LG Remarq include a slide-out QWERTY keypad, 1.3 megapixel camera, audio and video player and microSD card slot. The handset comes equipped with 16GB expandable memory, Bluetooth and GPRS/EDGE connectivity. LG's latest "Green" phone also offers a personal organizer, a speakerphone, instant messaging and gives easy access to social networking sites.LG Remarq will be available from May 9 for $19.99 with a two-year service contract and a $50 mail-in rebate.
