  All the rumors and speculations surrounding the launch of the anticipated iPad 2 tablet were finally laid to rest as founder and CEO, Steve Jobs unveiled Apple's newest creation at the launch event. Thankfully the iPad 2 lives up to the expectation and beyond with the exception of its pricing. The new iPad 2 will cost the same as the original iPad did at launch - $499 dollars and will feature the same 10 hour battery life. Pretty lame, isn't it? However the similarities between iPad and IPad 2 end there. The new iPad 2 comes with a mighty dual core A5 processor, a gyroscope and two cameras, for FaceTime use, also makes the feature list, as well as a 'smart cover' that wakes the iPad 2 up when opened, and puts it to sleep when closed. A major plus is the HDMI cable support which you can plug from you iPad to the TV and get the home theatre experience. Software enhancements also include Photobooth, a faster Safari experience, improved AirPlay functionality, FaceTime and iMovie, a precision multi-track audio editor that can upload video in HD straight to websites. The device is slated for launch in the US on March 11, 2011, the same day iOS 4.3 goes live. For UK and 26 other countries, it will be March 25, however as India did not make it to the list, we will put the timeline somewhere in July-August 2011. Hopefully!
