Idea's launch of BlackBerry services in India makes the BlackBerry service available on all major telecom operators

India's leading telecom operator Idea Cellular today launched BlackBerry services in the country. With this, the service is now available with all major Indian telecom operators like Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance Communications, Tata Indicom and Idea. Idea will offer a broad range of BlackBerry smartphones and services for enterprise and individual customers on its network, nationally. With this Idea customers could get easy wireless access to email, phone, calendar, web and multimedia applications, as well as access to thousands of other mobile business and lifestyle applications. BlackBerry phones will now be available from Idea stores, leading modern trade, and multi-brand outlets across 15 circles of the operator's network, throughout the country. Announcing the launch, Pradeep Shrivastava, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular said, “With the BlackBerry solution, Idea customers can now stay connected and access information in a timely manner, thus increasing productivity and contributing to a better work-life balance.” Idea Cellular will also offer BlackBerry Internet Service, which is designed for smaller businesses and individuals. It allows customers to access up to 10 supported corporate and personal email accounts (including most popular ISP email accounts) from a single device.
