Twitter has finally released its official Twitter application for Google's Android OS. Available in the Android Market, the Twitter app for Android phones will only work on Android 2.1. So there are limited choices for this app users as this app will go compatible with select few devices available in the market that support Android 2.1 OS, namely the Motorola Droid, Google Nexus One and the HTC Incredible. The official Twitter blog says, "When apps work well with each other, sharing becomes as second nature on machines as it does in person. The Android platform is really good at that, and we've worked with the Android team to make it super easy to share what's happening." With Twitter for Android, users can get quick access to their timeline with the home screen widget, view a tweet location on a map, and see their friend’s latest tweet in their phonebook, GoogleTalk list or any app that uses Android's QuickContact bar.The Twitter for Android app is available for phones running Android 2.1 and above. You can visit http://mobile.twitter.com/ on your phone to use Twitter.
