Sony Ericsson has unveiled five high-end smartphones - Xperia X10, Xperia X10 mini, Xperia X10 Mini Pro, Vivaz and Vivaz Pro in India

The latest devices by Sony Ericsson cater to the high-end mobile phones' segment which are priced between Rs 25,695 and Rs 35,795 in India."The new portfolio will take communication entertainment to the next level. Beside the five devices that we have launched, we will launch devices in the low-end sub-Rs 5,000 handsets as well," Sony Ericsson Corporate Vice- President and Head of Asia Pacific region Hirokazu Ishizuka said.Further to leverage all digital and social media platforms to engage with consumers, the company has tied up with regional and local content and apps providers such as MTV India, UTV, Shemaroo, Electronics Art, Indiagames and Disney for entertainment content delivery platform.The new Sony Ericsson devices come equipped with UX platform that supports signature applications, seamless integration of social media services and a rich graphical user interface. The new range of smartphones also introduce many new features that showcase signature applications like Mediascape and Timescape for users to organise widgets on their smartphones in an intuitive way.Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini and X10 mini pro are equipped with slide out QWERTY keyboard and integrated Timescape app. Users can access their favourite music with the help of "infinite button" on the interactive music player that populates all the music content from the music store and YouTube.Both Sony Ericsson Vivaz and Vivaz Pro offer users to produce and broadcast their best experiences in HD video. With Vivaz, users can capture video instantly with continuous auto focus with the help of a dedicated video button. Equipped with an 8.1 megapixel camera, the device features loads of social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Whereas, the key features of Vivaz Pro include a QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 inch wide touchscreen and a 5 megapixel camera.The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and Vivaz will cost Rs. 35,795, Rs. 25,695 respectively. However, the pricing details of Xperia X10 Mini, Xperia X10 Mini Pro and Vivaz Pro have not been officially announced as yet.
