Samsung has showcased two new Omnia series smartphones at the CommunicAsia event in Singapore. The new Samsung i8000 is the Omnia II and is successor of Omnia phone. The Omnia II features a new version of TouchWiz 2.0 widget-based interface and would come to India in July and is probably priced at Rs 36,000. Along with it comes the new Samsung OmniaLITE (B7300) that will join the B7610 and B7320, the existing Omnia Pro phones. However, it is quite saddening that the Omnia LITE is not coming to India in near future. The 7610 and the 7320 will be arriving on Indian shores for Rs 27,000 and Rs 17,000 respectively. The 7610 will sport a touchscreen as well as QWERTY and the 7320 is projected as a proper business phone with a QWERTY keypad.
