Nokia dumps Nokia Sans for ‘Nokia Pure’

Nokia bid farewell to its trademark Nokia sans font to embrace its new ‘Nokia Pure’ typeface. Nokia has been re-branding and removing old things from its camp. We have already mentioned about its recent orders to bid goodbye to symbian-powered handsets and why should the fonts be left alone.

Talking about 'Nokia Pure', Nokia wrote on its blog, "This week, Nokia announces a new typeface and a new look for promotional materials. It’s a new brand image that’s simpler, fresher and stronger than before. This is the new typeface that’s been created for Nokia by the branding people. It’s called Nokia Pure and we like it a lot. Not only does it look… well, pure and simple, but the letters flow into each other somewhat, creating the impression of forward movement.’

Nokia Pure typeface will be visible on marketing material in 2011. It seems Nokia is all set to roll, hopefully we will get to see some improved handsets too.
