Few first images of the rumoured smartphone BlackBerry Touch, also known with the name Monaco have seen online recently.

The BlackBerry Touch, as the name suggests, is a solely touchscreen affair and will feature the latest version of RIM’s mobile platform, BlackBerry OS 6.1.

The leak comes via BGR who managed to get their hands on an unreleased prototype of the Touch, which they claim is getting an official unveiling at BlackBerry World in May.

The BlackBerry Touchwill run BlackBerry OS 6.1, which, according to RIM, will be seriously overhauled in order to bring BlackBerry back inline with the competition.

The Touch is said to have a 800x480 pixel resolution display and will not feature RIM’s ill fated SurePress technology found on the BlackBerry Storm range – thank god!

More information, such as processing power, RAM and storage, will no doubt become available as we approach BlackBerry World in May.
So until then, we’ll probably have to wait to hear more about RIM’s 2011 plans for BlackBerry.

Nonetheless, we do have some hopes for BlackBerry in 2011 and they are as follows: more apps in App World, dual core processors, thinner devices, live widgets for the homescreen, better battery life, improved browser, Flash support and some improved screen technology, such as Super-AMOLED or qHD.

After watching these pictures, the smartphone lovers must be excited about latest creation of BlackBerry. We can also expect in India but not so soon.
