Samsung has recently introduced the Google Nexus S smartphone in India, and it is now available on the stores now, officially priced at Rs. 30,400. Online retailers are offering this excellent device at a much lower pre-order price of Rs. 27,999 for a while now.
The Google Nexus S model that Samsung has brought to the Indian markets is the Nexus S i9023, and not the Nexus i9020. It sports an attractive 4-inch Super LCD screen instead of a Super AMOLED one.
As you might be aware, the Google Nexus S runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and constitutes a special curved 'Contour' design besides numerous innovative features, like a Near Field Communications (NFC) chip. For other details and specifications.
The new Google Nexus S can be called an updated version of the Samsung Galaxy S, but as it is the next Google phone, it has been given the privilege of being the first to come with Android 2.3, aka Gingerbread. The letter S, presumably, to copy the iPhone 3G 'S' that stood for Speed.
The basic hardware change in this phone comes in the form of NFC (Near Field Communications) reader, a 3-axis gyroscope to provide good control over future games and also an LED flash with the 5-megapixel camera for crystal clear pictures. The device comes packed in a plastic casing and despite its high price, the Google Nexus S is going to attract the mobile phone lovers in India for sure.
