Nokia has announced a Symbian event on April 12

Nokia the renowned mobile phone manufacturing company, has recently announced an event dedicated to Symbian smartphones for upcoming Tuesday, April 12, in London.

Here, they have invited press and asked to "discover what's new with Symbian smartphones" the Finnish mobile brand may announce a new addition to its smartphone lineup in this event.

Earlier, we brought to you news that Nokia is planning to launch 40 new handsets by the end of this year, including 12 smartphones. However, these smartphones may comprise Symbian and Windows 7 and maybe even MeeGo.

There are some handsets like Nokia E6, T7-00 and X7-00 have been  in rumors from a long time, so their announcement won't be a huge surprise.

Nokia can also announce there the long awaited Symbian^3 update, which might bring an improved homescreen, split-screen input and a latest web browser.

Recently the Vice President and Marketing Director of Nokia India, stated that, we should be expecting big announcements after mid-April, so maybe this event is set in reference to those announcements. However, it could also be something else, not at all related to this.
