HP webOS-powered device leaked online

Leak of the day. Well since we have one almost everyday, we should have an opening statement to reflect just how common the leaks have become.

Moving on today we have a leaked image of a brand new HP webOS-powered handset. Now the device in question is button less and bears resemblance to iPhone 3GS. Currently this handset is nameless, however there are possible names which have been floating around.

According to PreCentral the choices are Mansion, Stingray, and Windsor. They further state, "while we are quite confident that the image is legit, unfortunately we don't have a lot of confidence in any further information. Is the device coming or is it simply a prototype that has been canned? Our tipster described it as "an EVO with webOS" and suggests it simply has yet to be announced.’

So, the mystery device is said to be EVO-like, presumably in terms of spec, with webOS. Kind of sounds like a dream handset, doesn’t it?

Ever since HP acquired Palm and said it wasn’t interested in making smartphones and tablets, we have seen an absolute slew of devices from the manufacturer, including the Palm Pre 2, Veer and the HP TouchPad.

We are quite excited to see what this device will bring with it once it is officially launched by HP. Till then it's wait and watch, until some more news on the handsets 'leaks' out.
