Apple’s most awaited handset iPhone 4 is all set to come soon to India with Bharti Airtel, which is launching this smartphone in the Indian market. It is expected to be entering markets by the month of September to October this year.
The company today, has officially announced its plans to bring iPhone 4 to India. Although, the brand is already presenting the earlier version, Apple iPhone 3GS.
Bharti Airtel CEO, Sanjay Kapoor stated, "We are working with Apple. Hopefully, we will launch it in the September-October timeframe".
The price of the device and exact date of its launch has still not been decided yet. The announcement simply revealed that the Operator is going to launch the iPhone 4 in the Indian markets in the coming few months.
"I think operators have gone through a bit of a lull in the last six months on equipment clearances but now things have begun to ease up and we are getting the equipment in place," Kapoor said in a statement.
Earlier, Vodafone had also announced its plans to bring the iPhone 4 to India. However, the company did not mention any timeframe to launch iPhone 4.
Apple’s iPhone 4 was launched in the month of June last year in the UK, US, Japan and also in several European countries. At that time the company announced, very soon it will be launching this smartphone in nine more countries.
We just hope, Airtel could bring the iphone 4 before the iPhone 5 launches worldwide!
