Samsung is all set to release its Bada 2.0

Hardly 10 months ago Samsung launched its Bada OS for mobile phones initiated with the Samsung S8500 Wave smartphone. And now the compaby has recently announced its plans to introduce an updated version 2.0 of the earlier released Bada OS, by July.

Samsung is presently leading in the Android based smartphone sales and the brand is also planning to capture more market share with some latest upcoming Wave models running the Bada OS.

There are three Wave models that are set to release in this year. The first model is S5780 Wave 578 and will be running on Bada OS 1.1, while the other two upcoming models are still unnamed and soon to be named, will run Bada OS 2.0.

The next batch of bada is expected to feature support for NFC as well as an improved home screen set up. It would also provide support for third party social networking clients.

However, the Samsung will also offer the Bada SDK for Mac and Linux users.

Not only this, but bada 2.0 is likely to hit Indian market first, before any other country and the reason behind is that, in India bada based handsets have performed extremely good.

In fact, the company claims that it is holding a market share of 10-15% in India, in the smartphone segment. And now it is aiming for 30% share this year.
