Samsung has now officially announced the arrival of Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone in India at the Samsung SWA FORUM 2011 held at New Delhi. Reportedly, the device is expected to hit the stores in the month of May.
The second edition to Samsung's successful Galaxy S series device, the Samsung Galaxy S II packs a 4.2-inch Super AMOLED display, 8 megapixel camera with 1080P video capture and version 2.3.1 of Google's Android OS, aka Gingerbread. However, it's not sure if the device will come with 1.2GHz processor upgrade in India or not.
Although, we reported earlier that the Samsung Galaxy S II and new Galaxy Tab devices will be available in India by the end of this month as per a tweet posted by the official Samsung India account, it seems now that the device will be late by a month or so.
Samsung has not officially disclosed the price of its new flagship, but the Galaxy S II is expected to cost around Rs. 30,000 in the Indian market.
