The Walkman phones have been one of the most popular Sony Ericsson devices. With Android gaining grounds, it's no wonder that company is targeting the Android lovers with the integration of this platform on their successful Walkman brand.

A recent Sems Blog is claiming the same as it has posted that Sony Ericsson's first Walkman Android handset will be called W15 and it may appear somewhat like the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 model, reports Unwired View.

The specs for the rumoured Sony Ericsson W15 will include a 3 inch HVGA touchscreen display, 3.2-megapixles camera and a 600MHz processor. The device has other surprises in store with a dedicated music chip, a 'specially developed touch interface' and special Walkman applications.

There is no other details on the Android OS version or its release date, but reportedly the Sony Ericsson W15 Android Walkman phone may be announced in this quarter by April end or May.
