The Intex Vision was unveiled by National Association for the Blind (NAB) amongst its students and faculty. Reportedly, the device has been developed at Intex Centre for Design & Development. It features a Braile keypad with large fonts to facilitate recognition of digits.
Alternatively, for those who are not familiar with Braile script, there's an option of the 'Talking Keypad' feature which speaks out in English the number they have pressed. Also, there's a hearing aid earphone supplied with this handset.
There are other smart features like SOS button to save four emergency numbers. Once a user presses the SOS key, it dials the first emergency number stored on the device by default.
The Intex vision a bar style dual SIM phone with 1.6 inch Mono black and White display. Weighing 82gms, the device packs 800mAh battery to offer up to 3 hours of talk time and up to 460 hours of standby time.
The Intex Vision comes equipped with wireless FM radio, audio player, memory card slot up to 2GB, mobile tracker, torch light and auto call record feature.
The phone provides 1000 phone book capacity and 250 sms options. It supports English & Hindi languages. The Intex Vision is reasonably priced at Rs. 2.600 in India. (via: Telecom Talk)
