The rumoured Sony Ericsson's Android Walkman phone W8 has now been officially announced. The new device has been listed on Sony Ericsson's official website under 'coming soon' section.

As reported earlier, the W8 Walkman is an Android 2.1 phone with customizable corners. It features the Walkman player on top and YouTube bottom left. You can  access your favourite music and apps with just one click on this device.
 
The W8 features a 3 inch HVGA touchscreen with virtual QWERTY keyboard, 3G and Wi-Fi. It comes preloaded with Google Maps and GPS. The smartphone offers Android Market  for the users to choose from more than 150,000 fun and useful apps.
 
It packs a 3.2 megapixels camera with geo tagging, FM radio with RDS, 3D games, Java, 3.5 mm audio jack, Google Latitude, Bluetooth technology, Wisepilot turn-by-turn navigation and USB support. The W8 Walkman phone offers 128MB phone memory and up to 16GB MicroSD card support.

There is no word on the official launch or pricing details of the W8 Walkman phone, but when launched it will be available in Azure, Orange and Red colours.
