LG launches Optimus Me in India

LG Electronics has softly introduced its new Android phone LG Optimus Me to the Indian market. This is one of the cheapest smartphones offered by this global brand. The device with model no. P350 has made a silent entry in India as it gets listed on the official LG India website.

This entry level Android 2.2 Froyo OS based handset is introduced at a price of Rs. 8,999. As the device belongs to Optimus range of the LG devices, it is also expected to be an excellent one like the earlier released LG Optimus One and Optimus Chic smartphones.

The mobile phone is embedded with a 'standard' 600 MHz processor that offers it good speed to operate faster. Besides, the LG handset comes with a 2.8-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen supporting 262K colors support and a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.

The Optimus Me is equipped with an accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate as well as a proximity sensor for auto turn-off. The Android phone sports an efficient 3-megapixel camera with autofocus, video recording capabilities (VGA@24fps) and geo-tagging.

Not only this, but it also comprises features like HSDPA and Wi-Fi for connectivity, whereas for music there is a Stereo FM radio with RDS and 3.5mm audio jack.

The LG smartphone also includes 140 MB of internal memory and accepts microSD card to expand memory up to 32GB, while 2GB card is already included. Features like 3G, LG Mobile TV Live, Apps advisor, GPS and A-GPS support makes it more interesting yet useful.

The LG Optimus Me comes with a powerful 1280 mAh Li-Ion battery that delivers up to 450 hours of stand-by time and up to 5 hours of talk time. The LG Optimus Me is available in India at a price of Rs. 8,999.
