Acer launches Iconia Smart in India

Acer is counted amongst the world's leading computer and smartphone manufacturers. The company has announced the availability of its new Iconia series smartphone, the Iconia Smart, in India.

Acer has recently unveiled Iconia series tablets comprises Iconia Tab A100, A500 tablets and Acer Iconia W500 tablet with detachable keyboard, Iconia dual screen tablet. Now the company has introduced another Iconia Smart smartphone in India.

From the fabulous array of Acer Iconia devices, Iconia Smart attracted much attention of the smartphone users. This latest handset can be considered as a smartphone consisting of rich attributes of a tablet.

The Acer Iconia Smart phone includes almost all the essential features of a tablet, for instance, its marvelous extra-large screen and its excellent connectivity options.

The company announced its Iconia series tablets and smartphone, at the 2011 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. It seems like Acer is trying to capture a major part of tablet and smartphone market in India with the launch of its new range of Iconia series devices.

The Iconia Smart, Acer's latest smartphone, is expected to perform good in the market just like earlier released Acer Liquid Metal and Liquid Mini.

The newly released Acer Iconia Smart is equipped with an impressive 4.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display, offering 1024x480 pixels resolution. This new smartphone comprises almost all the features of a tablet and works over Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The elegantly designed device also includes a powerful 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, which provides it fast speed and allows multi-tasking over the device. Iconia Smart includes Acer UI 4.2 that allows easy navigation using several attributes.

This outstanding gadget comes with dual camera on board. There is an 8-megapixels main camera fixed at the back of it, which also includes an LED flash. While the other one, is a front-facing camera with 2-megapixels resolution. It also comes with a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n feature to offer instant connectivity with Internet and includes Adobe Flash Player 10.1.

The wonderful smartphone includes an 8 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB, using a micro SD cards. Its Li-Po 1500 mAh battery is very powerful that offers long hours of talk time.

Although, there is no official word on the pricing details, the device is expected to hit the stores next month.
