Sony Ericsson unveils next generation Xperia Mini and Mini Pro

Sony Ericsson has introduced its latest creations Xperia Mini and Mini Pro, which are the updated versions of the earlier released Xperia X10 Mini. These handsets will be another addition to the company's Xperia range of devices. Sony Ericsson is planning to bring it to the global market around Q3 this year.

The Xperia Mini and Mini Pro come with superior specs that boast of a powerful 1GHz Snapdragon processor and the latest version of Android, which is Android 2.3. Both the smartphones will sport Reality display together with Bravia Engine.

Apart from this, the Sony Ericcson's Xperia Mini and Mini Pro also feature 720p HD video recording, a multi-touch display with 3-inch scratch-resistant screen and a highly capable 5-megapixels camera.

Steve Walker, Head of Marketing, Sony Ericsson, stated, "We wanted to provide consumers even greater choice across the Xperia range, while building on the success of the original mini series. These turbo-charged smartphones now contain even more power, enhanced functionality, a larger screen and premium features unique to Sony Ericsson."

He added, "They are packed full of features, making them a perfect choice for consumers looking for all the benefits of Android and Sony in a beautiful and easy to use compact form factor."

The gadgets will offer a complete multimedia entertainment experience to their users. The new Sony Ericsson smartphones under Xperia series provide access to over 150,000 apps avaiable on the Android Market.  The upgraded user interface will allow up to 16 apps over the home screen.

Socializing over these Xperia device will not at all be a problem for the users as it provides direct access to websites like Facebook and many other social networking sites.

The upcoming mobile phone Xperia Mini Pro will include a slide out QWERTY keyboard, just like Xperia Pro. While it will be pre-installed with office suit and McAfee antivirus. This smartphone allows the users to manage all the documents and e-mails instantly and securely even while they are away from their PC.
