Google has announced its latest version of Android, which is dubbed as Ice Cream Sandwich. The next version Android OS platform will be released in Q4 of 2011. The new Android update is designed to work seamlessly for smartphone, Tablet and TV.
It's been in the rumours since a very long time, but now finally Google has introduced its upcoming Android version, yesterday at Google I/O developer conference in San Francisco. Google is planning to launch it around the year end. The new upgraded Android version will integrate the best features from the earlier versions with the addition of many new features to this OS.
According to Google, its Android Ice Cream Sandwich version includes excellent useful apps. This latest version will be coming out immediately for the users of the Motorola Xoom, available on the Verizon’s network. The new upgrade to Honeycomb will offer improved widgets and support for USB.
It will allow the device users to import images and help them connect with other gadgets like keyboards, mouse and game controllers. The new Android OS will also support the Adobe Flash 10.2, which is the latest version of Adobe Flash.
The Ice Cream Sandwich platform will also offer some other exciting features such as facial recognition technology which will provide sort of artificial intelligence to your Android devices to recognize you more easily.
Other than that, the new OS will encompass a new feature known as the Virtual Camera Operator. This feature will be simply excellent for group video calling. The Ice cream version will also power the forthcoming update to Google TV, which will be offered to the existing Google TV users at free of cost.
