Yahoo! Messenger brings video calling to iPad 2

Already available on the iPhone, the new Yahoo Messenger app for the Apple iPad 2 helps users enjoy more features than the instant messaging alone.

Available free of cost to the users on the App Store, the Yahoo Messenger enables users to make voice and video calls. The app has now been updated to version 2.1 for video and voice calling requirements.

You need to have iOS 4.0 or higher versions on your device to enjoy the video and voice calling services on your Apple iPad. The Yahoo IM app comes in iPad-optimized layout and improved spam management features for the users.

The updated version boasts of multiple bug fixes including the unexpected sign-out issue. It supports Windows PC, Android phone, iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. However, your device must be equipped with a front-facing camera to access the video calling feature.

The new Yahoo! Messenger app for the iPad 2 supports nine different languages including English, Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Romanian, Spanish and Vietnamese.
