As reported earlier, Samsung Galaxy S II has finally arrived in India. The much awaited Samsung's flagship device is launched today in the Indian market.
The successor to the popular Samsung Galaxy S, the Android-powered Galaxy S II is one of the thinnest devices in the market. It comes with a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED plus display, 8-megapixels rear camera with auto focus and LED Flash and a 2-megapixels front facing camera for video calls.
Powered with Google's Android 2.3.1 Gingerbread with TouchWiz 4.0 UI, the smartphone packs a powerful 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. The device promises high speed multitasking, 1080p HD video playback and longer battery life.
For high speed data, the smartphone comes enabled with GPRS, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB. The device offers HTML browser and Adobe Flash 10.1 Player support.
The Samsung Galaxy S II will be directly competing with the newly released LG Optimus 2X, HTC Desire S and the Apple iPhone 4, which is reported to be launched in India by Friday.
Available for pre-booking on May 26, the Samsung Galaxy S II will hit the stores in the Indian market from June 9 at a price of Rs. 32,890 for 16GB version.
